BMW’s description brings many questions to mind (mind has this same issue):

*Inadvertent parking lot fast accelerations?

*Are we thinking this is a hardware repair or could this be a software upgrade only? Or both?

llako Can you share the year and model of your iX? Would be great to see how dealer will repair this case.

A friend got this. Visited the dealership, they checked the wire cords to the PDC (rear) , no software issue at all. Just made additional isolation to the wires. Time - 2 hours with car wash.
Master said that it was OK but additional isolation won't harm.

Just got my iX back from this fix. Seems everything went well. It took 1 1/2 days, as the wiring harness had partially rubbed thru already. They replaced that portion of the harness (one plug to the next).

When my car went in for it’s 2 year service, I received after the service the complete bulletin with 20+ photos and I saw my rear bumper taken off, now I understand why, the service was quick, brought it in in the morning and had back in the evening ….
