Speed limit warnings broken with 03/2025.47 OTA

Are speed limit warning settings not working for anyone else? Specifically, the audible warning persists even when deselected, and warnings activate 5 mph early, regardless of any custom speed limit adjustments.

Right after update it binged at me for 5 mph, so I reset it for 90. The next day it binged again, it had reset itself. I ended up just turning it off. Seems to have fixed.
I never set up any of the speed notifications for 5 or 10 over posted speed limits.

You’re right. It is alerting anytime car speeds up from standstill. The only way is to completely turn off speed limits, which also removes them from being seen in the HUD.

WTF BMW?

SO GLAD I didn't install this POS garbage update. When things are working, the release notes do not denote any useful new features or bug fixes, there is literally zero reason to install something that could F* up something else.

I learned my lesson with 11/2024. NEVER AGAIN!

Garage List
But 3/2025 fixes so many things with 11/2024! In my best Willy Wonka voice - "Wait, no, reverse that!"....

It's the Speed Warning feature. Whatever value you have it set, it resets to a low number after car turns off. I had it set to 75. But it reset to 25, 5, 15. Super weird. It almost feels like it resets to the speed limit of the street that the car was turned off at.

Thank you. Yet another reason to skip this update and erase it from my car's memory.

Its a single issue with a feature that takes 30s to resolve then the vehicle appears to work fine, so I wouldn't dismiss it that quick. If you have the warning switched off it probably makes no difference (Ie they retain the state of the toggle, not the value, a simple testing gap)

I use the speed limit warning, so this would drive me crazy. There is literally nothing in this update for 8.0 except a change in when we see the battery heating icon. And a broken speed limit warning.

What reason is there to accept this update if you have a pre-2024 iX? I'm begging someone to tell me.

I love your posts, especially since I can't update my car's software
