Finland rocks. I had a blast in Turku in June a couple years ago. It was light until 2 AM and then the birds started singing at 4AM; everyone was going nuts with the first days of sun and warmth. Might be a different story in winter. Wish I could go...

I just booked my flights for the 9-12 March event. Should have done it sooner, as the timings are not the best

I finalized mine over the last couple weeks. Will be in Stockholm from the 5th-10th, then Rovaniemi till the 16th, then a quick stop in Paris for the weekend to visit a friend.

I'm sure we will catch up at the hotel, as the two events will overlap, with the two groups doing alternate days for the same activity.

I'm trying to decide whether to take my SLR camera with big lens, or if it will be too cumbersome for the snowmobile safari

I might ask the organisers their thoughts, regarding practicality of carrying a heavy dSLR on a snowmobile for 180km in sub zero temperatures.

Gents, if it's anything like Solden you will be in and out of cars, swapping drivers and swapping cars regularly. My wife took her gopro and mounted it to the windscreen of the cars but was able to put it away in her handbag when it wasn't needed so that wasn't too bad. I guess you need to make up your own minds on this one... there will certainly be some amazing photo opportunities. Don't forget that BMW will have their own photographers there as well (btw they've just published the Solden photos on the pure impulse site which are worth a look).

The pro-tonic red with the black wheels looks really good!

And which wheels are those the 19" 664s or the 20" 759?

Maybe the new 5 series wheels will be the ticket to getting slightly larger MPSS tires on the i8 without having to buy custom forged wheels?
