I feeling it. But am I feeling it more than the Rivian. Ugh, I don't know. Have some time to think about this...
Pros It's a BMW and I can expect reliability, good build quality, and good service. It's going to be half the price of the Rivian. Leasing will be available day one. Its going to be way sportier than the Truck though not as fast. Cons It shares a design with a ICE variant. Its the size of the Rivian Truck but its not as useful as a Truck. Auto pilot and tech likely behind Rivian (unknown). Appears to have less headroom than the i3 and Rivian (I'm 6' 5", will I fit?) The ride quality of the current 4 series is questionable. Rivan has air suspension. |

I'm in the market for a second EV, so am definitely interested in i4.
Even though it's not due to hit our shores until late 2021. However, a few things do not add up.
Net-net, if BMW prices i4 at a discount to Model 3 (e.g.: below $49K today, likely below $45K in late 2021), i4 will sell. Trouble is, I don't think BMW NA is mentally prepared to concede that BMW brand has lost premium status vs. Tesla. So they will likely try to price it at a premium to Model 3. In which case, it will be a yet another attractive EV sales dud, similar to Jag iPace ($69+K) and Audi eTron ($75+K). a

It’s beautiful and more like a common BMW. The big grille does not make it quirky enough for the i-range. I would have liked an i-member not to have such a long useless nose
