Buy now or wait for MY2022?
Would BMW typically reduce the price of last year/EndOfProduction models? Looking for a new i3 and wondering if I should get it now or wait till end of this year for MY22 to roll out (considering that MY22 is EOP for i3)? Would BMW offer significant discount/incentive to get rid of all EOP models?

Everything I’ve read says that BMW will continue to produce the i3 until 2024.
You may have to wait a few more years. |

The bigger issue will be financing. BMW FS residual rates will be trash the last year of production. You'll get a better overall lease deal now. So unless you're willing to pay cash and hoping to find one that's been sitting on a lot for 12 months, order what you want now. Last edited by TimeFor; 05-10-2021 at 04:25 PM.. |

The residuals are bad at the end of the run because they end up with the cars after another 30/36 months. By then its a vehicle that's been out of production for years. In BMW's 7 year project cycle, the car design is 10 years old by then and showing its age making it harder to sell.
