I battle with the fact that a car that is designed to rival Tesla, is still using a steering wheel from 2010.
It cannot be that expensive to create a unique steering wheel for the i Brand.

And it's called hyperbolizing. The use of exaggeration to make a point across. You learned something today!

And to make your point very clear, let's have the Tesla model 3 steering wheel pic too. It must be very special. |

TBF I think the current steering wheels are nice, maybe a touch chunky. Excellent quality. I do like the smaller diameter of the T M3 wheel also. The 2 buttons only might be too far for many but it's execution o the minimalist look.

I keep looking for an electronic replacement to the hard 1-8 preset buttons, but I see nothing. Can it be possible this core feature of iDrive is going away completely? Say it ain't so!

I hate this obsession with huge floating iPad screens on cars a la Mercedes and Tesla. Why not integrate them into the dash for a more cockpit look? Why do you need both screens integrated into one? BMW is following the same trend and it looks so cheap, is this a cost cutting measure? Faster, cheaper and easier to just slap it on than integrating it? Is this going to be the LCI interior "update" for gasoline cars too? BMW can't do one good thing lately design wise...

It is hard for the traditional cockpit look to accommodate gigantic screens without compromises. You think it looks "cheap", I think it looks modern. |
