You do realise this car is based on the 4 series Gran Coupe which has been around for a while now.

Yes and No. If you touch the ^ on the top of the iDrive screen there are I believe 5 or 6 memory buttons that can be set for a variety of functions. Not as easy & practical as the actual memory buttons (that I love and used in all my past BMWs), but BMW wanted to keep the interior cleaner and more modern.

Everyone rakes Tesla over the coals, and yet every EV model tries to emulate them in some way or the other; good and bad.

You're not wrong there, something I noticed and LOVED in the BMW i4 was that they included a start/stop button. All other EVs I've driven don't have them and it makes it difficult to know whether the car has completely shut off or not, BMW got this car right in a number of ways.

Highlight of the review.

Also. This is a photo of my projector screen. I only mention this as technology is now so bloody amazing. I still remember the era of CRT TVs and me being my parent's remote control for changing channels. The joy of being a Gen X kid.

After 6 months of intermittent research into the i4, this is the first review I've seen that doesn't inaccurately state facts about the car (as far as I can tell). The guy is quirky but as I watched the whole thing I haven't found anything to be grossly inaccurate, like 95% or other reviews I've seen. He knows his stuff!

Also, it's more of an accurate and unbiased review than it is positive or negative.

Nice job Mr. Doug!

I agree. His overall review is good. It's his "Doug Score" that I wouldn't agree with and doesn't quite match up with his review.

Agree. His very subjective and super random "Doug score" does not match the review he gave. Strange.

But in all honesty, I find Doug very strange and his voice and inflections are like nails on a chalkboard to me!!!

Yea. Doug has his own style. The first time I saw his review was for a Tesla Model Y. Overall, his content is pretty good.

Recently saw another one of his videos on the Tesla Model X Plaid. He was driving around my neighborhood! Wonder if he lives in OC California.

I heard something about San Diego, so he's close! I didn't pay too much attention to his "Doug Score" since I don't know the complex Doug gauges he is using and given that the score carries his name, it's bound to be subjective; however, content was good!

It was refreshing to see a reviewer that doesn't call the platform a conversion from gas or is acting like badge police and counts how many M badges the car has. He also didn't seem like an anti-EV or an anti-ICE individual.

Epson TW9400. This is the Euro and Australia model code.

https://www.epson.com.au/products/pr.../EH-TW9400.asp

I believe it has another name in the US.

https://epson.com/For-Home/Projector...p/V11H928020MB

Sorry if off topic. I'm a bit of a home cinema nerd and movie buff. It's a great projector for the money. Sure there are better ones but this really hits the sweet spot for bang for buck. With a projector you do need good soundproof blackout curtains too. But honestly, once you've got it setup you start to get critical of the quality in commercial cinemas.

His reviews are too predictable biased towards US cars (How can a Tesla Y.... be better than a M3???), and think the channel in general are overrated. I rarely watch it.
