Coming from an X7 M50i, this looks like it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to drive! The exterior lines and design, albeit camouflaged, will probably not be my cup of tea, but the interior looks like it might support a nice blend of comfort and spirited driving.

It is a hybrid M though - likely the first, and equivalently pricey. Standing by for stats....

pretty disappointed the interior is nothing close to the concept... i wasn't really expecting it to be, but i would have gladly paid the sum of my current cars for one of these if it was.

This thing is cool. Unnecessary but.. that's what makes it cool. It's makes more sense to me than, say, an x3m. But the lack of tactile controls is a total turnoff and very anti BMW.

Apparently there is an upper echelons model coming later on which may be closer to the interior from the concept (I would assume anyway).

Luxury and performance are not mutually exclusive, unless part of the elan of M ownership is having a covered-wagon suspension, little-red-wagon steering, and stagecoach shotgun seats.
