BMW NCAP Results Uninspiring?

The EV forum is having a field day with the NCAP results. Saying the BMW uninspiring BMW i4 results are worse than a VW Polo.

I have been utterly fascinated with crash test results and videos since they first appeared on the internet.

I am VERY impressed with the i4 results and videos! Interior occupant safety looks awesome and safety systems seemed to work exactly as designed and specified!

There is an earlier post on this:

And yes, this is a pretty embarrassing for BMW - second in a row no less.
Most of its competitors have perfect 5 stars since tougher NCAP tests in 2020.

This might put it into context a number of European manufacturers are unhappy with the current test regime:

It's all that crap demands for autonomous safety. Watch the videos. The dummies are well-protected. Heads hitting airbags only. Bodies are thoroughly controlled. Those are excellent crash results. IDGAF about the pedestrian or autonomous tests.

And Inside EVs is a shithole.
