03/2023.65 Bugs?
Anyone else experiencing bugs with 03/2023.65?
I've encountered an annoying little one with CarPlay showing one playlist in the entertainment display and another playlist in the HUD.

I have not encountered any of those issues and I’m even running iOS 17 developer beta 3. Have you tried restarting iDrive and/or your iPhone to see if the issue persists?

I sporadically have the steering wheel switch not toggling presets when pushed right or left, but this has persisted through several updates and is not yet fixed.

I have. It seems to reproduce when I switch playlists, the HUD will still show the song titles from the original playlist but the infotainment screen shows the correct song that’s playing. All controls seem to work correctly.

I’ll look at this more closely next time I go out for a drive.

I've had this happen a few times both with iOS 16.5.1 and iOS 17 (which I'm downgrading to 16.5.1 until BMW and apple fix the HUD navigation integration issue)

You might have a hard time doing that if you plan on keeping your data - unless you have a previous backup from the older version…. In other words, if you only have an iCloud backup from iOS 17, you will not be able to restore it to iOS 16.

3/2023.53
One step behind.
Finally wondering if my RSU was working, today the 3/2023.53 pushed to us. Downloaded it earlier, hope the bugs are all cleared in this older version. Looks like we don't get to be guinea pigs in software upgrades. |

Yep. I’ve been to this rodeo a few times with iOS betas and have absolutely lost all of my local data more than once attempting a downgrade. I now use the app iMazing to keep local encrypted backups for just such an occasion and it worked pretty seamlessly on the downgrade this time. For now, there is just not enough new in ios17 to justify the shorter beta battery life and lack of HUD features in these early betas. DM me if Beta 4 (public 2) fixes that stuff!

First little bug or "new feature" post .65 update. Before the .65 update, I was able to turn off the headlights whilst driving. Today, I tried turning them off in a park garage, and I got a message on my HUD saying: above 0 mph, headlights cannot be turned off.
This is like how the i4 is/was. Don't like this new "feature". |

Not a bug - and discussed on the "other" forum - but running through ACC changes:
- Prior to .65 - and still in the owner's manual - ACC could not be activated below 20 mph. Now it can be activated below 20 mph, including stopped, with the brake on, by pressing the I/O button. As soon as you press the accelerator (or the Set or +/- buttons), the car will accelerate to 20 mph from stationary if activated. - Additionally, below 20 mph the ACC cannot be activated with the steering wheel turned more than about 30 degrees from horizontal |
