Is your iPhone a very old model? Is it current with updates?
Assuming that the phone is a relatively current model and up-to-date software, I would suggest that you start by going into the iDrive mobile device menu and delete your device. Then go into your iPhone and "forget the device" under your bluetooth settings. Do a reset on your phone by pressing volume up, then volume down, then hold the side button until the phone resets. Next, with the car on, hold the volume/power knob down for 30 seconds until the screen goes black and the iDrive system resets. Then re-pair your phone to the car and try the CarPlay after that. Hopefully, that helps. |
