I applied for my set of decals late last year and wondered if anyone had applied recently and could share how long it took them?

Maybe 2-3 weeks, IIRC.

Did the program get extended or are all tags still expiring 9/2025?

We have received a set for 4 different cars and 3 of them took about 2 months and one was like 4 months. I have a friend who had it take almost 6 months. So your mileage may vary.

Took 3 months for my iX. Sent in application Oct 1 and got them late January… And they say it should take about 30 days…

Thanks I ended up doing an online chat with a DMV agent earlier, and they’re saying to wait up to 120days….which yeah, is longer than 30days I saw on their website. Very frustrating - really not sure why this would take so long, it’s trivial to confirm that the car is on the approved list and cash the check.

I did not realize there was such variability. Happened real fast for me. It might have been a time of not a lot of car sales but not production is up.

You guys are paying for these? What do they get you?
Preferred parking? HOV lanes?

For $22 you get access to HOV lanes and reduced toll fees. My example - I commute across the San Francisco-Oakland bay bridge. The toll plaza has 18 lanes that smush down into 5, complete with metering lights that clog that traffic starting at 6am every day. The CAV tags will let me sail through the HOV lanes no stopping at metering lights, likely shaving 20+min off a commute. It’s a bargain.

I bought a CA car and had it delivered to WA and it has the decals on - any suggestions on how to get them off safely? Frozen blue paint if it matters.

Brief update - we had a discussion over in the G60 forum and OciWan noted that the online application process has opened up which allows you to cut the waiting time dramatically. I went to the online portal and made my payment this week so hope to see my tags in the next 21 days.
