Front coolant leak
Hi all, grateful for some advice please.
My low coolant warning light came on. Opened the front and topped the coolant up in the main big bottle back up to the line. I have drips coming through the undertray around the centre right so have a leak somewhere. Looking at the cooling diagram, there doesn’t look to be much apart from the radiator so fearing the worst that it is a rad leak? My car is a 2015 with only 29k miles and always garaged so weird that a rad would go but can happens I guess. My friend has had similar and a new rad fitted wasn’t cheap but his has done 90k miles. It’s booked in for the investigation and take the under tray off so will see but anyone else had similar? Anything common? Are there three small rads? Can you buy separately? Warning to others: Never try to add coolant yourself, the i8 has a pressurized system that requires a specialized tech to do it right.

Further warning: if you have a coolant leak, do not drive with the ICE. If you can make it to a good BMW dealer on electric, do that. Otherwise have vehicle trucked in.
