I'll have to check.
I don't remember. I'm going to pull the seat later and add the position sensor. Short term that will fix my airbag problem as I possibly sort out why the bolsters, lumbar and heater circuit have an error in ISTA. The other issues don't throw a CEL but the position sensor does. Update - Original seat has 15 and 16 populated. So they are in the plug.

Right now, I'm not sure what's going on.
The passenger seat position sensor is in. I'm still getting a warning, but when I look in ISTA there is no Fault Code associated with airbag or seat calibration. So now I'm lost. What's this pin 15 connection. Is it more than a light?

Pin 15 is 12V, main power. There should be at least 2 thicker wires going into the connector in the passenger side.
Schematic shown below is my particular car/VIN passenger seat connector and switch (X12*1B and A244). A244 wires must be converted into a A246 (controller) compatible wires scheme. There is no lumbar in the CF buckets retrofit that I did, so only 3 wires were required to match the A246 scheme from the OEM switch, and no position sensor error. You may need to consult your particular controller schematic in here in case of wires missing from mine : https://bmwtechinfo.bmwgroup.com/#/login Regardless, try manually setting the seat position sensor first: car off, move seat all the way forward until stops, press button again until stops again, then move seat all the way back until stop, then press button again until stops again. This should reset the position sensor. Quote:

I have found all the diagrams via ISTA and now what you said made sense. The module isn't actually powered without the pin 7 connection and that wasn't clear until I looked at the diagrams. Pin7 yellow connector is lights. Pin7 A246*3B needs supply. The fact that there are two Pin7 references is what had me confused. Did you have to make any manual connection besides the two can connections and power? Was the LIN bus connected correctly? I presume, it will stop looking for LIN stuff once the controller is powered correctly. I figure I'll wire the lights since I have to be in there one more time. I'm done with questions now that I have ISTA and all the diagrams. Thanks!

Drivers seat is fine.
I think the module on the passenger is bad. I have traced all the wires after printing files from ISTA. K-Can is working fine as I can code the module. Up, down, forward, back and headrest work fine. Power to seat is fine. The heater is not responding and the bolsters and lumbar are dead. Also I can't clear the seat monitoring error. This is why I thought the hall effect sensor needed to be moved from the old seat. I have tested the seats functions in BimmerUtility and the issues I see with the passenger seat are consistent. I also used ISTA and nothing with the functions that don't work. I have a seat module sitting in front of me that I plan to swap and code. Love the seats, just this final seat monitoring error along with those three functions not working. Got any ideas besides swapping the module?

- Is there a wire in X12*1B (8) - seat heater/lumbar LIN?
- Do the seats footwell LED turn on/off with the ambient lights - X12*1B (4) FI LIN? Quote:

So the lumbar and the bolsters switches are not evaluated by the seat module. The valve body evaluates those so, I need to actually check for power. Pins 4/8 did exist on the original passenger connector. Still confused why position sensor is not registering. All this is.going to be something simple that I missed. I haven't really done any debugging this week. Work has been hectic. Edit: The heater is working. No issues with either seat heater. Lights are not working on either seat bottom, The lights did work on the old seats. Something else to look at. X12*1B (1) is not populated on the old seat. Distinctly missing. Question is on the car side of the connector is that wired? If not I'll need another wire from driver's side to passenger side pin 1 to get it all functional.

Final update.
All seat features working passenger and driver. Passenger needed K-Can pins 5 and 6 connected Tom drivers seat. Pin 1 also needed to be pulled from the driver's to passenger seat for lumbar and width.

They hold well.
No sliding like the standard sport seats.

If I read this correctly, you tried to code out the ventilation for ID8.5 because the M3 seats you installed did not come with ventilation, is that right? Do you know if the reverse can be done? Meaning, if my g20 ID8 (and my factory non-sport seats) does not have ventilation, can it be coded in if the M3 seats I’m trying to retrofit do have ventilation?
