Delivery

Hi anyone having this issue. Ordered I4 M50 December 2023. Supposed to arrive May 24, then moved to August 24. I know the vehicle has been manufactured as i have a VIN etc. BMW genies say the last update on 4 July was left factory heading for port of exit - Hodenhagen. I am told there is no port at hodenhagen and it should leave from cuxhaven. I have contacted dealer who is unable to understand the issue (not sure why they cant) BMWgenies saying waiting to be transported. Dealer said small number of I4s stranded - anyone know what the issue is? or how to escalate or who to escalate further too?

Interesting, I have a new i4 M50 that was loaded on a vessel in Germany early last week. But it still hasn't been reported as received in Sweden.

Talked to the dealer today and they think it will arrive in port this weekend. But they are just guessing.

Usually the route from Cuxhaven (DE) to Halmstad (SE) is about 1-2 days and is being carried out by these vessels:

EMS Highway, Seine Highway or Weser Highway. I do believe they also go to Norway and UK according to Marine Traffic.

If some i4s are stranded as you said my car might be one of them.
But that doesn't explain why the car is being shown as loaded on a vessel.

Btw, delivery is supposed to be either W33-34.

Yes I was told a small number but not sure where they were bound for. Someone also said that something had happened in transit and they had ended up in Hodenhagen but not sure why. Mine was for week 32 delivery - system still showing no update since 4 July. One person also said it had only been in Hodenhagen 10’ days who knows. Please keep me appraised of your progress be interesting to track

I would verify if that recall applies to your specific car here:

https://vehiclerecall.bmwgroup.com/i...uk&language=en

If the page shows that you have code 0041300200 open, then you are in the recall. They are probably holding your car until they can inspect and fix it.

That recall has a production date range from March 7, 2024 through May 14, 2024. Was your car built in that date range?

On affected vehicles during production excessive force may have been applied to the rear left hand side chassis longitudinal beam which could lead to it cracking and affecting its structural strength.

On affected vehicles the rear left hand side chassis longitudinal beam will be checked and if necessary replaced.

Just got a call from the dealer that the car arrived this morning.
Delivery will probably be tomorrow or the day after.

Now it's been handed over to get PPF and Cheramic coating.

SimpleSimon84 hope you'll get your car too soon.

Congratulations on your delivery! Hope you are enjoying your new car!

I have an order from the same dealer but still need to wait until December for delivery.

Which company in Sweden did you choose for the PPF and ceramic coating?
