Couldn't start the car with my mobile phone
I was running out to the store and didn't bring the key. I used my phone to open up the door, put the iPhone into the tray and drove off. Came out from the store, opened the car and put the phone back in tray. This time I didn't see the blue light come on and the car wouldn't start. Called BMW Genius and tweaked a few settings-- nothing.
When I finally got back to car after taking an Uber home, I used the key and obviously started the car. I tried the phone again when I got home and it worked fine. Really strange. Only have had the car for month and never had a problem with this method. Has anyone had this issue before?

I use the digital key frequently. Have you tried the following?
- a hard reset on your iPhone - logging into your phone, then double tap the side button to bring up your wallet and select your BMW key |

Yes. We did both with the Genius. Initially I thought it might be a malfunction with the tray since it wasn't identifying the phone. Especially since I still used the phone to lock the door. But, then it worked fine when I got home.
