It’s the HVAC system draining some condensation. I experienced this all the time in my 2023 iX.

Those of us in Arizona never experience this. The appearance of condensation, I mean.

I'd like nothing more than to roll my car back to its original software from 2023. At least everything worked.
You seem to have a cursed experience, as I have noticed zero degradation in any functions.

Another noticeable time it happened was after I had applied sticker glue to my front registration plates and pressed it a few times against the front of the car, needless to say the massive grill bulged and bounced back and forth, then click-click and fluid dumped. At first I thought I had upset the windshield washer reservoir but the fluid still did not smell like washer fluid...
What color was the fluid?

I suspect the "tech bros" read some of the criticisms and managed to sneak malicious code into the software for that one specific vehicle which will lead to gradual degradation and eventual vehicular software self-destruction.

I think so. NomoTesla should definitely NOT update. Ever.

NEVER! Fully embrace the rejection of technology dependence, and return to the quiet simplicity of a log cabin, churning one's own butter, reading by lamplight, etc.

My 2013 128i runs exactly as it did the day I bought it. Nothing has been updated. Expectations have been met.

My driveway is tarmac so when the liquid spilled, i couldn't know the colour. On touching and smelling, it looks colourless and no smell, that was why I suspected water but it was a lot of it, and from where, I thought.

Your climate control is either on auto or manual mode. There is no mixing the two. So if you like your heated steering super hot and even the highest setting in auto doesn't do that, you have to switch the entire climate control for you to manual and set it as high as it goes. That's the hottest it will get. In auto mode, the heating dials itself down as the cabin warms up so it is very normal that it feels weaker than a pure on/off system. Same goes for the heated seats. This is not how this worked in previous BMWs where seat heating and steering were not part of the auto climate, but in the ix they are. I personally find it balances things well for me with my current settings, but I've had passengers complain about their seat heating not being hot enough because they are used to it being full on or full off so I have them switch to manual climate and they can turn it on full blast. So far they haven't lasted too long with full heated seats before dialing it back down.

It depends on the cabin temp, exterior temp and the setting you pick. These are all input into a nebulous algorithm and the car decides if it should turn them on or not. Basically if you find it doesn't turn on when you'd want it to, you need to set it at least one setting higher in auto. Do this up and down until it matches the desired behaviour. If you are a little picky, it may never truly match how you want it to work and there is nothing short of using manual climate control that can be done about it.
This explains so much, has been driving me round the bend trying to work out why armrests, steering wheel etc seem to only get hot sporadically.

I was always worried about locking my phone in the car since I use digital key. Just discovered that while the phone is in the car, you cannot use the touch buttons on the front doors to lock the car. You also cannot unlock other doors from the exterior, but guess that makes sense for safety/security. I also had no key fob on me.
