Really? Cheaper than a V8 3rd gen RX7? I know guys that have built them for less than $15k, they run 11s in the quarter and also pull over 1 G laterally. the Genesis Coupe is a nice car, but I can think of better ways of spending $30k to go fast.

I'd keep the E90 sedan and use the transmission from a S2000.

I won't knock your choice of engine, but my personal idea of an engine in my perfect car would not require bolt-ons of any sort to give it merit.

1) as i understand it, the point of the thread was to use your imagination to mix and match to come up with a unique solution, not simply name an existing car. And he gave an example to start it.

2) from the second post, his choice was insulted. He is only responding to those insults. His post above (the "ignorant ass": comment) was not him not being tolerant of other people's choices, as you seem to think, but a response to peope not being tolerant of HIS choice. A rather large difference.

Sounds like you are knocking his choice of engine. A thinly disguised insult based on a rather elitist attitude. But not too surprising considering the forums we're on....

I'm knocking the people that can't conform to the formula put out in the original post. Hence why I only responded to them, if you can't play by the rules don't play at all. I made my choice because reliability also plays a factor and I can assure you the bolt on 500-600hp of the engine I chose will be MUCH more reliable than that of an exotic.

Why start drama in a thread ment for fun? Maybe someone had little time but wanted to contribute without having to come up with the best possible combination from the millions of choices.

For me, a Scuderia powerplant and transmission dropped into a 599 GTB Fiorano would work out just fine.

Why would you put a Scud engine in a 599? I Scud's V8 puts out ~500 hp where as the 599's V12 puts out 620 hp with tons of torque to move its heavy chassis.
