I didn't listen to the 'nice lady'. It's a bit crazy that some BMW dealers actually don't know what they a selling, i heard this incorrect information in several other videos too |

Yes, I was certainly told by my dealer that the M Sport could only be ordered with build dates from Jan 2016....
Not that it matters to me, as I don't like the body style

That Carsales one doesn't have the stainless steel boot sill protector, so I reckon it was built pre-Nov 15. Last edited by PF1; 02-19-2016 at 02:59 AM.. |

Apparently, there are a few Sports floating around not sure where from? possibly BMW Aus promotional cars? ANway, wen to go have a look at one at Doncaster. I'll admit I find the M sport kit looks better in person than it does in photos. For example, the rear doesn't look nearly as bad as i thought it would. This has given me another problem to think about - x line or m sport now.... |

What colour is the M Sport at Doncaster? Considering I'm only 5 mins from there I should go check it out. Wasn't there 2 weeks ago when I walked past.

Back of m sport. I think most the photos on the net I've seen of the back tend to bar taken at quite a low angle which over emphasizes the bumper. It looks much more proportioned in real life

Thanks for that! Will go look at it later today. Just did a quick check that shows build date Dec '15 and registered 19/2 so must have just arrived last week.

Just had a look and took some photos too. Happy with the overall look but glad I didn't order the black - would be hard keeping it looking clean and it loses contrast with the gloss black trim & roof rails.

Thank you for the photos comparing X-Line and M-Sport! They both look nice, but my preference is still leaning toward X-Line after seeing the photos.. I guess I like the silver and chrome trims on the X-Line. Just wish BMW offers sport seats as a stand-alone option in the US.

I'm really digging the white msport. IMHO the rear bumper looks good with the rest of the car. Initially it was a standout but that's because I was only focusing on the bumper alone. Looking at how they utilise black on white with the rest of the car you start to see they compliment each other. The front kidney grill is admired by many and that's due to perception of branding, however consider the black alone as it creates a nice contrast on white - which the same can be said with the rear bumper and the rear window on white. Don't forget the black rails and black window trims which alone wouldn't do much but together with the rest of the car it looks great IMHO. To each their own of course. I find the darker grey or black on the X1 (although blends in the rear bumper well) hides the signature grill and front bumper as well as the trims. Its a subtle look if that's what you're going for I guess. |
