Ok so gotta ask, is it just a drop in replacement? Where did you get it from? My HK center is so muted, it almost sounds like it’s not on. Makes no difference if I enable logic 7.

This is a G20 iDrive7 part, it requires a lot of modifications to fit the iDrive 8 dash. The electrical harness is plug and play.

This is an iDrive 8.5 - the problem of this center channel trim mod is that this part is made for the iDrive 7 dashboard, not for the iDrive 8/8.5 dashboard. This center channel part looks the same for either dashboard, however the part mounting screws and tabs are completely different between the dashboards.

This is an US i4 M50 - Florida.

Having 10ch of amplification in this OEM HK system and looking to not install multiple aftermarket amps to run the whole system, required a single DSP/amp with at least 10ch of amplification, 10ch of high-level inputs, high-power output in all 10ch, and capable of keeping the HK OEM Logic7 upmixer (7.2.1) direct.

A Helix V Twelve DSP Mk2 was chosen as it has 12ch high-level inputs, up to 160w x 12ch outputs, 31-bands EQ on each channel, can bump bass automatically at low volume, and can adjust output level, time and frequency of each channel in the HK system.

All OEM speakers replaced by aftermarket components and woofers...

• Morel IP-BMW42 = Front
• CDT BM4 Kit 1 = Rear and Surround
• CDT HD-6CV (2ohms) = Front woofers
• SWS-8Xi (2ohms) = Sub

The result of these audio upgrades is fantastic. Deep Bass and sub bass at low volume, clarity at all volume, solid mid bass everywhere. The combo of Morel components in the front and a single SWS-8Xi in the OEM sub enclosure should not work as great as in here. Just clarity and sub bass that the stock HK system cannot produce. Very, very happy with this audio upgrade.

We have been tuning Helix/Match DSP in BMWs for years, this was no different.
