For some reason the overall style feels dated, like it should have been released in 2016 or thereabouts. It doesn't look modern (not to say that many modern cars look good...)

Ferrari 12 Cilindri on the other hand....

Is this BMW's AZTEK?

Edit: Just think of what BMW could do with the funds to develop this vehicle,...and the XM!

Imagine the following: (...all straight from the factory,...with a warranty)
1) 1000Hp M5
2) 1200Hp M5 CS
3) 800Hp M3
4) 900Hp M3 CS
5) 850Hp M550
6) 750Hp M540
7) 750Hp M340
8) 650Hp Z4 M
9) 800Hp X5 / X6 / X7 (ICE)
10) 700Hp X5 / X6 / X7 60e (Hybrid)

Every one of the above would be class leaders in their segment! Yet, BMW brings something to market that many won't ever see much less have desire to own it. So,...will it be the "Z8" for the new century?

C'mon,...FOCUS BMW! FOCUS!!
What in the world are these 10 proposed vehicles. You just want every car to be a hell cat?

I'm just excited BMW is embracing this limited run interesting car philosophy. Between this "Skytop " and upcoming " Speedtop"... I hope the trend continues and we see ongoing exercises of the like

Totally agree, it has that mid-2010s concept car vibe, like something that would’ve wowed at an auto show back then but feels a bit out of step now. Not bad, just not as fresh as you'd expect in 2025.

Don't care how much money I had. No way this thing looks or feels special for that amount of coin. Could you really enjoy looking at this in your collection everyday?

The $400k is so you can say you have one of fifty.

I don't see the need for a HP race.
There is a need for continued research in adaptive suspension and better drive dynamics.

The power is useless without reaction and we are already at the limits.

An 800hp M3? Why?
You already run out of road before you run out of car. Same with the rest.

I kinda agree that more "interesting" cars is better than fewer.
If BMW can financially and organizationally justify limited production runs of these types of cars, so much the better.

I just don't find THIS particular sample to be particularly interesting from either design or performance or technology perspective.
Can't say I find the "sh*tting brake" obsession of the last decade worthy of much attention either, but it was definitely a design trend.

You pay $400K for that and you're just buying exclusivity. There's better ways to spend that kind of money. Otherwise, it's lovely enough. If it were $120K and could be seen in different colors I think people would have a better opinion of it.

Still not feeling it but at least it's still petrol powered! Interesting wheels wonder how hard they will be to keep clean.

Amazing how good and bad looking it is, very hard to put in to words tbh…
But overall, I like it more than I don’t.

The good: Only 50 Units. Let‘s hope they‘ll vanish forever in collections so my eyes won‘t fear seeing them…

Damn is this an ugly car.

it's the proof that style is not related to money.
