Let's start by figuring out if this is minutes or miles. Try switching the units temporarily to metric and see if the screen then shows km.
It makes no sense that it would be minutes, but this should settle it.

After that, odds are the car will periodically update the state of health but not all the time so i would not expect it to be updated constantly. That first odd mileage reading might be the result of something as simple as an uninitialized variable (so until something properly sets it, it will display whatever junk that memory location happened to have) or an estimate of when it will do the first reading just not well presented to the user. That's my guess anyway.

Looks like a bug to me. Typical BMW software

At least those of us with pre-2026 models have one less feature to obsess over. I'm trying to be positive!

I'd imagine your iDrive account has been ported over correctly at this point but maybe it takes a week+... did your previous iX have around that mileage? Wonder if it's just like an in-car view of a CarData pull and it's referencing the last known mileage from your previous car and/or only refreshes monthly or something? Wonder if that would explain kwickag's discrepancy too - pulling at a certain date and not refreshing for a month.

Of course, more than likely it's yet another bug.

Seems like the battery health check is not run that frequently. The question is what triggers an update to the battery health status? Just starting/stopping or driving around from day to day doesn’t seem to do it.

2025 iX50 I traded for this 2026 iX had 6100 miles.

I think we just chalk this up to BMW software amazingness

My 12-2023 M60 also did not get the battery health widget in the last update. But i did get a - much more useful - drive recorder widget. I did not yet use it, but i assume one can now just immediately start the drive recorder when the widget is installed. Maybe handy in some situations

On my 24 I've always been able to start the Drive Recorder by holding the parking camera button - was this not a thing on 23s and prior?
