  • I admire your work ethic, but such a tempo is unsustainable over the long term. Eventually you burn out, especially in a profession that is mentally, emotionally and physically draining. I’m a gym rat, so I make time, but there’s no way I can workout at the same pace I did when I worked a normal job with normal hours and a normal sleep schedule. I have done physique shows in the past, so I would workout twice a day most days a week.
It's a way of life for me and has become second nature now. I'll cause too much trouble with any extra energy outside of work; therefore, I have to get that extra energy out, kind of like taking the dog and going to the dog park (I'm the dog in this case), lol.

In & Out lines are long, and even going inside has delays... Chipotle can be as well... I guess you guys have to pick and choose the slow times so that you can get "in and out" of the food joint pretty quick.

Taking the time out and posting/responding to my nitpicking questions would likely gain you some golden opportunities timewise, eh?

I’m off today, so it’s easy to respond.

Well, enjoy your day off and shut it down for goodness sake! Don't watch any Cops episodes either, lol.

That live TV show that I watch too much of showed something that the studio officers had never seen before being used in an Oklahoma city they just started riding with. They used medical swabs on sticks to take oral samples of someone's cheeks during a possible drug overdose investigation, to determine if/what the detained subject was tripping on. The studio officers seemed truly shocked that such a procedure existed, and they are both active duty police (and one was just inducted into the LEO hall of fame) so it isn't like these guys aren't familiar with LEO practices and stuff. Is this really revolutionary in the field, or are these test kits more wide-spread than they know about?????

It’s not revolutionary, but we essentially accomplish the same thing by taking arrested suspects to get medically cleared and blood drawn.

Just a further follow-up to your position….

…We have trucks dropping off boxes of face shields, riot shields (…and other protective gear), pallets delivered with rocks/bricks, etc. in the protest zones. It is obvious that these people are being funded and that these protests are coordinated; Soros (…and other socialist billionaire) backed groups, the PSL, the SEIU, Chinese backed socialist groups, Operation Healthy Heart, etc. So much for “obvious hoax is obvious”.

I thought Mayor Bass declared a state of emergency when she leveled the curfew?

Thru my support of LEO, I have seen some of those messages that Sedan mentions. The intel gets shared but is labeled FOUO (for official use only) so he can't SHOW you the message, but can discuss generalities of the content. Even then, he may be pushing the envelop.

Thanks for that. The fact that he thinks I just make this stuff up shows how disconnected he is from the reality of the situation.

As for the curfew….

…that went into effect while I was on my days off (..and I reside out of state), so I returned to work today with A LOT of stuff briefed to get me up to speed.

Instead of researching Porsche mods on your days off, I think that your time would have been better spent putting in an order for a brand new P-car with every option funded in cash by all of the OT that you'll be raking in this summer.....

THAT money is going towards the aquatic paradise we’re about to build in the back yard. The intensive project is breaking ground next month. The fact I was able to get this last round of Porsche mods in from Exclusive Option was nothing short of legendary.

As for the new P-Cars, the more I read about the .2, the more I feel fortunate to have purchased a .1 when I did.

I mean, I love a good Mexican pizza, but with so many real Mexican food spots, why settle for Taco Bell!?!?

I had a co-worker several years ago who was also a politician and police commissioner for a tiny city. His biggest accomplishment in the commissioner role was ordering the police to stop at Dunkin Donuts every few hours and be seen there! There were no other donut shop options in their tiny city, and the crime around their Dunkin Donuts was so notoriously bad that even the city police were afraid to stop there.....

Damn! Sounds like all of the local 7-11’s. We hang out at the 7-11’s often to keep them from getting robbed.

I had a relative who worked at a non-chain convenience store in a small town many years ago. The owner gave away free coffee to any uniformed law enforcement who stopped in. They gave away more coffee than they sold, between the town's police, state police, and all of the uniformed deputies at the county jail down the road. Never had a crime problem, though.....

That’s typically how it works in practice. LEO’s hang out and grab coffee, and their presence keeps the crime to a minimum. It’s great for business.

Other day I was wondering where criminals rob nowadays. I expect few people deal with cash anymore and 7-11s are probably a poor return on risk.

There are more crimes against person now, and flash mob thefts.

Shoplifting and subsequent fencing on the web are today's stickups, and the perps actually consider it a victimless crime when they steal from big box stores and retailers. This is why stores in some high-theft areas are locking their valuable/portable merchandise behind glass to prevent inventory shrinkage.....

In my city, cops normally don't hang out or slow down to socialize too often. The city and squad cars usually fill up at QuickTrips. I'm sure they keep the socializing behind the scenes; everyone is in a fishbowl.
