Less than £600 all in at the right independent garage, if the lines weren't all contaminated /was able to get flushed out easily (which is rare). For this , you will need that aliexpress compressor.

I had this happen but I instantly turned air off as soon as I heard the noise!! And took it in right away. It was in fact the AC compressor and because in instantly turned it off it only cost me $2800 to fix versus the $18k bmw quoted……if the fragments went thru

Hi everyone. Brand new member here. I am really worried as I just bought my i8 this week.. 35k miles and 2015 plate. When I turn the car on this is what I hear. Please can someone tell me if it sounds like an AC compressor issue or maybe just needs regassing? Mine doesn't make any noises while charging from what I can tell, only once the car has been turned on for a few seconds this noise happens.it sounds like a fan
