so how pissed will everyone be if the army of the undead win this thing and the last scene of the show is the night king sitting on the iron thrown as spring starts to emerge and everything melts away.

I figure with 6 episodes left, that's the quickest and easiest way to tie everything up. Just have all the humans die and start fighting for team zombie.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's how the series ends, but remember, once a white walker is killed, all the zombies he converted die as well. If the humans can manage to kill the night king (dragon battle!!!) they'd have a much more manageable fight.

The fun thing to see will be fire (Drogon) vs. ice fire (Viserion) and which one is more powerful.

I suppose a big arrow made of dragon-glass would do it...but fire should work too. The two living dragons could team up to burn him down...it will be great CGI

I can't see that happening...and if it does, then what was the point of all of the human element interactions of the show?

To me, I think it has to end with the living triumphing over the dead...and that result will require a LOT of heart wrenching deaths and sacrifices - but I do think that the living will prevail.

It will definitely be an epic battle. I'd venture to say 90-120 minutes series finale.

Yes, they say that but HBO has recently said that it should still be on schedule to air in 2018 (a year or so from now).

I wouldn't mind it being in 2019 IF they make the episodes long enough for everything that needs to be answered is actually addressed.

If that means those 6 episodes are 80 minutes each, then so be it. But as much lolly-gagging as there was in the various seasons, they need to do the ending justice. Hopefully they don't fuck it up.

Kinda like Dawn of the Dead where the survivors make it to an island only to be stormed by zombies from the treeline.

Btw, I keep looking at facial similarities between Bran and the Night King....cursed rumors. They do share the same nose.
