Starting about 1:54: "Brand new models" ... "2021 (Dr. Koch grins) and 2022". Sounds like Projekt G42/G87!!!
Karl-Friedrich Koch, vice-president of production control, logistics at BMW Group Mexico talks to Christopher Ludwig about the ramp up in production at the carmaker’s plant in San Luis Potosí and how exports will now be aimed at 30 markets as opposed to just three. BMW is doubling capacity at the plant and adding rail to ship vehicles to the US and Canada. It is also addressing the increasing complexity of inbound parts supply for additional models with more variation that will be made for multiple global markets.

VP Production Control, Logistics
BMW Group Mexico
Karl-Friedrich is a mechanical engineer by background and has worked for BMW since the mid 1990’s.
He started in R&D production technology at the Fraunhofer-Institut Produktionstechnologie in Aachen, Germany.
His first role at BMW was in production planning and operations for its AeroEngines division.
He moved into production control and logistics in 2009 at BMW’s Regensburg plant in Germany. He took up his current role in San Luis Potosi in June of 2015.
Appreciates appreciated.

The M240i convertible is pretty close to my ideal car. I don't need spacious backseats, but it would be nice to be able to put my dog in the rear buckets, which I obviously can't do in my current car. And now it even has radar cruise control! That was the key feature missing from the 2-series for me.

I love my Miata and would never get rid of it, but this is reeeaaally tempting me. I have to keep reminding myself that the M240i convertible is 1,200 pounds heavier....
