Fast approaching 2 million cases and so many still need to be told to take precautions...I had to nag my mum and sis when I went to them taking food NOT to go out for any reason.

You remove the vent sides complete and care needs to be taken unclipping the unit direct then whats harder is removing the chrome trim surround--easy to break! Put the main black bit back re connecting the side indicator plug first and take the surround inside.
Clean it with poly alcohol and on the inside too then cut out from carbon sheet what you need with about 8mm overlap-important. Use hair dryer to soften the wrap and do a bit of length at a time folding the wrap to the back, don't apply too hot..you may get it wrong at first and do better job second time around.Around the sharp turns you have to slice the wrap 7-8 times away going away from turn so that the curve 'turn folds' making a nice round finish.Need some patience! Then give it a good press with fingers at back to really make it stick and click back in, again carefully and you've done one.
My UK M5 friend - this is incredible! It looks so great - you approached it so professionally and with great precision.

I'll pull bits I want wrapped and mail them to you for your "rocket-science treatment"!

My payment for your great work is fish & chips and a pint (or two) at your local UK pub (I wish!!!!)

Fish and chips sounds good and a Greene King IP Ale would top if off nicely
Glad you like my handy work and now that its done there's nothing more to do on the car just charge the battery every weekend. Keep doing those walks my friend and stay healthy.

My UK M5 and MBelgium friends -
Checking in on how life is at this time.

I just spent the last three days uber-detailing the exterior of the Red Roadster....Meguiars rubbing compound and Meguiars ultimate wax using an electric orbiting polisher....cleaned the OZ rims and it looks outstanding.

Was at the hq of Greene King at Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk as part of a visit,a different world there. Has a heritage of over 200 years and as well as brewing fine ale's they run chain of 2700 pubs, restaurants and hotels.
People at the brewery say it's a great place to work also with everyone's ideas taken into consideration. As well as IPA they brew others with names like Speckled Hen and Ruddles. Next time in Tesco or Costco getting food I'll stock up a few more cans as those two in the larder won't be there long!

Injecting defenceless and submissive pangolins and bats with lethal-to-humans bio additive for ''taste attraction'' will come about for the perpetrators wherever they are.
Looking forward to see a pic of your motor my friend gleaming in the sunshine.

Can't wait to see pics of your M3 all cleaned up; great news that your job is stable.

Thank you for the well wishes.

No pics I'm afraid, it was a few years ago but you can get on their site to get some feel of the place and see some pics from yesteryear.

For me, it removes the focus of shiny or "bling" wheels and brings the focus to the raw, mechanical elements such as the cast aluminum hub section of the brake rotor, the cross-drilled ventilated rotors, etc; black wheels match my CF front kidney grills, CF mirror covers, CF rear trunk spoiler, CF stubby antenna, etc.

I love the minimalist look of black wheels - they do not draw attention to themselves and look "racey"

I'm the other way I want my wheels to stand out together with the hubs etc.
Another thing I noticed is that some chaps over there blank out the side reflective markers and fit body coloured blanks.I guess that's just fashion over there but I see a safety issue.
Going to be putting some of mine on soon when the battery is charged..I'm not a great pic taker as you've probably seen.

Beautiful car! Thank you for sharing the pics.

We're all wired differently and your love for shiny and bling wheels is entirely choice - all good.

I totally agree regarding those that have "blacked out" their side reflective markers to match their paint color....it may be considered an aesthetic improvement but it is clearly a safety detraction.

Love the way you care for your beloved M5.

Thanks. You may have noticed the front arch gap is a little high that's because of the driveway angle; I'd take some pics from a straight plateau but there's not really that many scenic places round here where you can stop to do that, such are our narrow roads which the councils failed to widen as cars got bigger and wider.

Narrow roads must be challenging with a full size performance car!
