tire - patch or repair

2020 i8 coupe - 1900 miles on it

Got a leak in drivers side rear tire. I think it's a pretty slow leak. I was able to drive 90 miles yesterday with no drop in pressure (it stayed at 26psi).
I pumped it up to 35 psi at home, went to bed, woke up this morning and it's down to 8 psi.

Wondering, should I see if I can get it repaired, or just replace it?
It's practically a brand new tire. Of note, I frequently drive fast - 130ish mph.

Depends on location and size of the puncture, ive had my lotus slow leak patched and driven til the tire worn down to replacement just fine. 35 to 8psi overnight isnt a slow leak though

Ya, I think I'm just gonna replace the damn tire. $399 for the tire at the local dealer.

I'll patch the original tire and keep it for some other time to use. The local dealer is over an hour away, so having a spare to throw on if needed I guess could be handy.

Garage List
I've got an annoying leak from my front offside tyre too, really slow (losing about 10 psi over 2 weeks) but with this lack of driving its triggering the TPM every time I drive it. Cant see any damage whatsoever, any ideas what i can do to stop it? Its driving me nuts inflating it every time i drive!

Got the tire patched up nice. Puncture was right in the center, easy fix.
Still got a new tire anyways, and keeping the patched tire on hand for when this happens again.

From long experience plugging tires on my tractor, I always keep a plug kit in my vehicles. Tirerack just delivered four new Michelin pilot 4S (235/40 20 front; 265/35 20 rear), I couldn't wait for the Bridgestones to wear out. 10k on them, probably another 5k left, but I'm ready for a better tire.

congrats on the new tires!
i always forget how those numbers work - i'm assuming the rear tires are wider?
Will they fit on the stock rims?
And wait...you have a tractor?! Awesome!

Tires fit - barely.
Drove a tractor before a car.
Lost a BMW friend to a tractor accident, sad.
