Does anybody think that BMW should or will offer a 635i gawd I hope so..in Japan owning a BMW is enough of a status symbol, and they sell a 630 here, do you think it would be good for BMW to sell a 635, with that butter smooth 6....gawd i'd hope so...what do you guys think

i sure hope they do offer a 635, it would be a great alternative to the ripp-off Australian pricing we have here on the 650's We pay something like $170,000 US for a 650

Well, they are releasing a 535i so I don't see why they wouldn't release a 635i in the near future, makes enough power to move the heavier coupe with ease.

Yes they will (well in Europe anyway) - My dealer told me the other day that the 630 will become 635.

Hope this helps?

3.5 liter would be a big no no. IMO BMW barely got the vibrations with the 3.2 liter undercontrol, so I don't see how they could do it with a 3.5 liter. I believe the block in the current twin turbo only has room to increase displacment via stroke.

What the hell do I know.

It doesn't mean it will be offered in the states. The 530 was available in the states, but never the 630 (even though it exist).

it may be available but as brett said not in the US, if its making its way into the x3/5 then it probably will make it into the 6

One piece of information I know is that the BMW engineers really stress the 0.5 liter to 1 cylinder ratio to keep the optimal engine balance. That was a crucial reason that the BMW went for the bi-turbo charged 3.0 I6 instead of a 3.5 I6/V6 nor a 4.0 V8 they had in mind (still 0.5 to 1 cylinder)!
