Anyone here downshift to slow down?
Thoughts on if this is good practice or not?

When I was autocrossing, the saying went that it was cheaper to replace brakes than transmissions (and their associated parts).

Brakes it is

Getting over the fun of downshifting and now thinking about what I'm actually doing.
I'll stick to burning my brakes instead of my transmission.
