Car came in this morning and looks incredible. Had a 2020 M340i in this combo and needed it again.

The transporter left the dealer demo at the VPC and picked up mine instead. Car needs a full charge before I can take it tomorrow.

We will be take home our new 2022 45e with it tomorrow.

Former i3 and 2021 45e owners

We had 5 cars and went down to 2: 2022 X5M, 2020 M2cs, e46 zhp and e46 touring

That's a great combo! We currently have an XC90 T8 PHEV as the "family car" and I have an e-tron. Will probably stick to one PHEV and one full EV until charging stops become an afterthought.

That's our thought for now too.

Gratz on the new car! I really like the oyster, but just can't justify it until the kid gets bigger and less likely to spill.

Now and in the next few weeks is the time to "snag" one of these preorders. Since these were done about a year ago, some people decided to go other routes and dealers want to sell these the second they come.

The OP preordered this car, this is not a preorder cancellation.

CONGRATULATIONS! Amazing car and so well spec'd! I picked up my M50 on Saturday, and only thing I kind of miss is Harmon Kardon sound. The stock HiFi sound is surprisingly not bad at all, but HK is of course way better.

Yea correct. This isn't a cancellation. We pre/ordered this

But yes I imagine there will be a few sale-able cancellations

Not saying your 4-series and X5 aren't nice cars, but why get rid of an X5M, an M2, and two E46s?

Congratulations. Best of luck with your new cars.

Do you have two chargers at home so you can simultaneously charge both? Curious.

Beauty, congrats! I'm curious about your first impression of the new curved screen and if it looks more "integrated" in person or somewhat odd (i.e., it will take some time to get used to)? My impressions from seeing the iX in person are that the screen works with the interior design; however, owning a 2020 X7, I'm baffled by the way the screen looks in the X7 LCI; it seems like an aftermarket screen was installed without any thought to the interior design and lines. Cheers!

Been there done that. Had this and that. Going from way out in the burbs with 5 car garage to a more active life closer to civilization in a townhome.

I can can get those cars back but I'm happier without them. The paranoia I had with them was hard to live with. The zhp and touring. Those were hard to part with. Not the x5m and M2cs

The X5 (Mineral White) in our picture is and X5 45e with M-Sport Package. Maybe you are confused when I said we had an X5M which is true (not pictured). We sold that.

Good question. We are in an apartment right now while our townhome is being built. I only plan to have one charger put in. I think with the lesser amount we drive and the range of both, we will be good with just one. I'm curious to take advantage of the Electrify America 2-yr membership. Not as many stations as the ChargePoint that the i3 came with, but should be good enough.

As someone who has two electric cars, we have one level two charger (ChargePoint Flex)and it works great. We get about 7kw hr from it and alternate which car gets charged. For the x5, you may need to charge it nightly, but base on our friends experience, the 110 is fine to fully charge it overnight. So you could simultaneously use the L2 for the i4 and the L1 for the x5 when you need to charge both at the same time.

Even though we almost exclusively charge at home, out here in CA our experience with electrify America has been pretty good. The new car (etron) charges really well on the 150kw chargers. Our only issue has been with stations that face the sun. In the summer the lcd panels overheat and you can't use the charger. Not sure how the engineers missed that use case and didn't put a small shade option on the panel or just specify the lcd not have southern exposure.
