Sport Boost coding

Hey! I've coded Sport Boost on my E40, it seems to be working fine but when I switch to that mode I see "Sport Boost" in the mode selector (iDrive screen) and "Sport Plus" in the dashboard (behind the steering wheel).

Could someone with a M50 tell me what value you have in BODY -> 3221 PfFesMaster -> FesSportWorldMode1

I have these values available:
  • NotSportExpert (0x00)
  • SportExpert (0x02)
  • SportExpert_Motorstart (0x82) <- I have this selected
  • XtraBoost (0x17)

I just want to verify and change that to the correct value to display it as "Sport Boost" in the dashboard as well.

Thanks!

I've no idea but shouldn't it be Xtraboost?
motorstart sounds like it's for launch control, which only the M50 gets (along with Sport Boost).

Nope, XtraBoost is a different mode for PHEV (hybrid vehicles) and it appears as "Sport XtraBoost", the same in iDrive.

I want to know what's the value in a M50

Thanks, I also tried setting that value but it's still being displayed as "Sport Plus". I guess it's also taking another value in consideration to display the same mode as "Sport Boost".

I will continue playing around with other M related values to find it.

Hi
You have to change a few things at the HU
3008 FES
FES_SPORT_EXPERT has to be active

3000 HMI_SPEECH
MM_SPORT_ENGINE - comfort_sport_sport_plus 0x02

3000 HMI_SPEECH
MM_SPORT_STEERING - active

You can find more option
When you will go to Head Unit
Type in search SPORT
You will see more options for seats, efficient and more

Have a nice day

Just tried to change all these values but it's still being displayed as "Sport Plus" in the dashboard, it has to be a value from a different module, will have to figure it out

Yeah! I assume there are some things to be changed as well, I also wanted to show the ///M logo in top left corner and switch to the ///M font.

We have the same problem, as far as I know DKOMBI8 can't be coded right now because it requires Secure Coding 2.0, we'll have to wait until someone find a way to do that.

Thanks!

Sorry, dumb question but: what effect does this coding have on an e40? Noticeable change in acceleration from a standing stop when activated? When you code this in, do you lose any of the pre-existing modes (eco, comfort, sport)?

Thanks. . .

What is a good source for coding info?

How would I figure how what to code or how to code in BimmerUtility beyond what's already documented? Is there a good source?

Somebody tell me if this hack actually gives the E40 faster jumps off the line. Sounds like BS to me.
