Yikes indeed. Drain coolant, remove the HV battery, open the lid, remove and replace cell# 6. Look at the parts list. I suspect a few HV battery replacements will not complete as planned.

Thanks for posting this. I looked up my VIN in the NHTSA recall website and it did not show any outstanding recalls. I took delivery of my xDrive40 on 2/19/24. I don't know if my i4 was not affected, if this was already addressed before I took delivery or the NHTSA database is not up to date. Is there any way to determine if a recall repair was done on my vehicle other than calling the BMW dealer?

Only option I can think of is to call bmwfs to ask if there are any roadblocks preventing a lease transfer assuming you are leasing.

Details: "BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective February 14, 2024) on small number of Model Year 2024 BMW vehicles that were produced between September 23, 2023, and February 5, 2024.

As of February 19, 2024, this Delivery Stop has been upgraded to a Safety Recall."

There’s already been several cell module recalls since i4 and iX came out. I’ve done several. Also replaced cell modules for other issues not recall related.
