Correct .. it's $3.90/gallon at Exxon for 93 octane Premium gas, while at Costco it's $2.50-ish for 93 octane Premium

Melkbus Truffle Gouda, tastes so good it will make you go cross-eyed. They only sell it around the holidays and the price is way better than what you will find in your average store. Macarons can be pretty good sometimes if you get the ones made in France.

I curse them for discontinuing the Don Miguel Lean Ole Chicken Burritos. I ate countless boxes of them and they were only produced for Costco.

Most of you are probably familiar with the Asian chicken wrap they make with the green tortilla... Years ago they had an Italian wrap with a red tortilla and it was bomb. Had all kinds of Italian meats in it like salami and provolone, with a cup of Italian dressing to dip it in. Hmmm those were the days...

Shepherd's pie is pretty good, my ten year old likes it and the size can feed an army. Their meat loaf is pretty good too. Now that I think about it we used a shortcut at thanksgiving and got their pre-made tub of mashed potatoes.

It's $125.3/L for 91 octane right now which equates to about $5CAD/USgal or about $4USD/gal. Sadly 91 octane is the best available here unless you buy cans of race fuel from a speed shop and let me tell you, that shit ain't cheap!

JEEBUS! That would mean I would save over $60CAD on a fill from empty in my truck! (36 gal tank) Sadly that will never happen here for two reasons: 1) Costco doesn't sell fuel here (except propane tank refills). and 2) Fuel prices are regulated by a government board so everywhere in a particular zone in the province has the same prices.

Better prices than Priceline sometimes.

I think about ten years ago I ordered a complete Thanksgiving dinner mail order from Costco. It was one of the best dinners ever. All I had to do was warm everything up.

Unfortunately they don't offer it anymore.

Five years ago this particular Exxon, gambling that because of it's location and ease of access to the main road, decided folks will pay a big premium for their gas, and so far they are correct

They do still make it here where I live in Washington state, although they give you half a turkey split right down the middle rather than a whole one.

Bought these bad boys from Costco recently and they are awesome. Grass fed beef Polish sausages FTW! It was a 12 pack on sale for around $10 or so and well worth it.

I go to Costco for the free goodies. If you hit all of the aisles on a good day, free lunch.

Lol. That is pre-pandemic though. They don't even give out samples now as far as I know.

I usually do the bulk of my shopping at Aldi and there is one that is across the highway from Costco. I get gas, baked goods (croissants and good buns) and snacks for the kids to take to school then head to Aldi to do my weekly grocery run.. I think Costco has stuff thats a sweet deal to suck you in but alot of stuff isn't a super duper deal. But by getting gas and tires there, the savings covers my member ship there.. My kids like the taco kits for dinner

Reviving a dead thread but to my surprise my local Costco had Honolulu Cookie Company's chocolate chip cookies on sale. These are awesome. Always buy them when I go to Hawaii so it's nice to see them locally.

Oh and they're less than $10 for a 1lb bag which is good. Costs more than double that on Amazon.

I love these. I wish they had the other flavors we get in Hawaii.

I discovered costco 6 months ago 3 minutes drive from work though I've been working there for a decade never thought of going there.

sparkling water.
I used to buy 8 bottles for £3 Since 40 bottles for £4.50! and our family uses around 200 bottles/month.
Premium diesel £1.5 at BP £1.25 costco £20 savings per fill.
Sopocka ham
jarlsberg cheese
jalapeño humus
most of my sport and professional clothes.
Jack daniels/chivas regal/absolut
Coke
Toilet paper,Kitchen roll.
Air fryer
Free range eggs
Garden plants
Omron tens machine
Those are the favourites I think

I am curious, do they sell hot dogs and soft drink at the Costco snack bar in Glasgow?
Here in the US they've offered it for decades and the price hasn't changed (US$1.50).

Now that you've discovered Costco, do you wish you would have done so sooner?

Yess. They do the beef hot dog and soft drink for £1.5! I have a liking for the £1.5 slice of cheese pizza though. I do wish I had discovered costco years ago.
