Turned in the E92 M3 - Picked up a 991!

Hi everyone...just wanted to share some pictures of my car. I turned in my M3 lease in December and picked up one of my dream cars. The 991 is definitely a fun car to drive. Car is comfortable and practical enough for me to commute to/from work every day. I have to admit, I do miss the 6 speed at times though transitioning over to PDK.

Here's a picture of the M3 in its prime:

Day of pick-up

Wheels / Tint / H&R Springs installed:

Vorsteiner Aero Parts installed and how it currently sits:

Added pic:

Thanks for looking! I have an exhaust and deck lid spoiler on the way so I'll update the thread once those arrive!

Update:

Here's a short clip of my car with the Fabspeed x-pipe I just installed:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...63463379153144

Here's two more pics showing the new deck lid installed:

I just had a photoshoot so will update with more pics soon.

That is one sexy 911. The wheels really make it look mean.

Yes, definitely the M3 has a better engine note. I love how the Porsche starts up and in WOT but I did not get the Porsche Sport Exhaust so the car's pretty quiet overall. Hopefully my exhaust comes in soon so it changes everything!

Hope you have better luck then me with your 911. I sold mine to get back into BMW after the constant problems I had. It spent more time at the dealer then I ever drove it. The 911 is by far my favorite car out but I may have just had a dud! Awesome looking car. I tried to convince my wife we should buy a Panamera but instead I just ordered a new 14 3 series GT. Oh well.

Thanks guys! I can forward you a contact for pricing on the wheels. Regarding the tires, I used the stock OEM Pirelli's.

Sorry to hear about that. The only issue I'm having so far is that the brakes won't stop squeeking and I'm at 2,500 miles. It's quite embarrassing as it's LOUD.

I've been digging the new M4...so we'll see if I get into another BMW when the Porsche lease is over.

Did you try bedding them in? It should get better. Since you are past the break-in, you can go to town with it!

Sick man. Def a huge upgrade. That car with the Sport Exhaust def sounds amazing and certainly as good or better than the M3.

It's a bit similar actually. The powerband is very linear and kicks in at higher RPM. The main difference is this car is a lot lighter so it definitely feels much faster. I have the non-S but it's still more than sufficient for daily use.

Lol, yup, I tried bedding it more than a couple times. Did a few 40 mph to 0 quick stops but the squeeks keep coming back. I called the service department and they said it's normal. They said they will also teach me how to brake properly so there's no noise...wtf

Currently waiting for an exhaust that should sound similar to the sport exhaust

Stock Porsche lacking the sport exhaust are too tame...the exhaust will likely transform your car to make it feel exotic all of the time.

Best money I spent on our cayman is the carnewal mod for the stock exhaust: just the right amount of sound, off throttle gurgling etc....no drone.

Congrats on the 911, especially for picking the right color
