Skinny tires are part of what makes an electric car "Eco." Embrace it; don't try and make the i8 look like something it isn't.

Yellow is a traditional color for sports cars.

I genuinely feel it cheapens the car and takes away from its futuristic appeal. Maybe a more exotic yellow (Austin Yellow for sure) would have been more fitting. This is too flat.

However yellow is one of my favorite colors (I own 2 other yellow cars ) and one of my favourite BMW's was my E46 M3 convertible in Phoenix Yellow so I had to have a yellow BMW again and this colour was the closest match.
There is a gloss version of this color too but satin will be the 2015 hype in wraps and since this is also a demo for my company I had to go with satin.
I'm not disappointed with the result.

And just like Phoenix Yellow the colour looks different all the time...

Any unprocessed "real life" photos? It does look damn good in all these shots.

Yellow

Not my taste, but bold cars can be fun for a while. Had a yellow Viper once and it was loud enough and fit that car.
Then again, had a Fire Orange M3 Lime Rock Park edition too, so maybe yellow isn't so bad after all

I like the "in the wild" photo at the gas station.

As far as "modding" the i8 goes, I tell people to think about it like they would a Prius (I know, I know, bear with me). Imagine a Prius with a body kit or "AWN RAAMS" (on rims), or with a outrageous paint job. Imagine how silly that would look and how counter intuitive to the car's purpose it would be. I see modding the i8 the same way. Unless you are modding to tastelessly stand out more and be visually obnoxious on purpose, it's futile. Applying decades old methods of adding drag via body kits or hampering the economy to a "car of the future" is dumb.

That said, I can dig this combo. It's not TOO out there and is tasteful relative to some of what the other "tuners/moders" are doing.

Nice, I like it even more in this shot. I think you need to go all out and do something with the wheels too, they are nice-looking, but look subdued on such a nice car. Have them paint yellow pinstripes on the spokes.

Oh how I would like that too....
There's absolutely no room for wheels with any concavity in the front or you need to reside to a body kit that widens the front.
I'm running 245 tires in the front and it has about 0,5mm on the inside and it stands exactly in line with the front fenders.

In the back you can have a little concavity as you can see but the space is also limited.
You can run up to 285 tires in the back but that would make no sense at all besides creating drag.
The car comes with understeer from the factory and with 245 fronts and 255 rears it's nicely balanced.

I'm not planning on adding spoilers or any other items that would alter the aerodynamics, I don't want want to run into to guy that spent too many hours in the windtunnel with this car.
