In my experience, the OEM brake pads on our i8s are just fine for all round use. Confident initial set, strong pull down and easy modulation - I have not attempted sub zero in the car but I'm sure BMW has chosen a best predicted performance solution. That said, I am looking for a narrower set of circumstances. I am looking for a street, track pad. A friction compound that can give me a greater temperature range and allow the rotors to reach into the higher delta "T" range. I really like the Hawk HP+ but not available- the Hawk street race- again- not available, Pagid, Stoptech, EBC, etc- not available. The rears are shared with lots of other BMWs but not the front. Short of purchasing a larger pad and machining it to match the originals, I'm at a loss. Any one out there found anything?
