I am in Australia and about to order an I 4 m 50
it appears different countries have different options available
our 20 in wheels are the 862 which I find quite busy .
short of swapping when they arrive before use which I believe is almost prohibitively expensive any other ideas
I prefer the 868 which appear the standard choice in uk and USA
on a brighter note we can specify the m sport seats
On a brighter note our cars while expensive come with just about every option as standard

At least you get true M seats. Do you also get piano black trim?

Can have piano black optioned
As I intend to have black seats will go with one of standard lighter ones

No piano black here or leather dash.
I'm going with black interior with blue stitching and carbon fiber.

Exterior is Tanzanite. All options checked besides ventilated seats and exterior carbon.

Interesting how /why so many differences in different country specs
Is this the individual country bmw who pick it or Germany who say what they can have
Colours appearvthe same across the globe
Wheels seat options vary greatly Aus dont get ventilated seats but the m sport
All the other driver assistance packs free charging sunroof laser lights etc standard
My only options I selected were 20 in wheels m sport seats and a pack which include the shadow line m seat belts
Would be nice if we could choose the best bits available

It's the localized BMW division that decides what will be offered from the "master build list".

I'm sure the folks in Germany have some input based on laws and regulations in the target market, but I think ultimately the packages are done my the local group.

Specific country division probably don’t choose to have as standard anything they think would be a popular option in their region, to be able to increase the sales value of the car once options are chosen.
