Shadowline or non?
My son doesn't like the shadowline. I think it tones down the front buck tooth grill. Is that the biggest change? Seems like the usual money grab for zero additional cost to BMW.They should get in on the nitrogen fill from factory.

Shadowline grill in the i4 has dark gray trim around the frame, it is not completely gloss black. It is gloss black in the ICE 4-Series.

The corner accents both from and rear are black along with the mirrors. Otherwise all gray.

I specified both shadow line packs, trim and lights.
I was torn between Sunset Orange and Brooklyn Grey. On the configurator, Sunset Orange looked poor with the standard grey trim, especially the bumper air intakes. It looked passable in Brooklyn Grey. However, I felt the contrast with black was preferable. I ordered the grey with both Shadow line packs.

I prefer the more thin outline grill on the Shadowline package, It comes across my "modern" and futuristic in appearance.
On i4 talk, there are pic comparisons of the ICE 4 GC and i4 in both standard and shadowing. |
