The more I think about it, the more this just seems like the continuation of the 370Z. Looks like Nissan sold about 7k a year until the last two years. With Nissan leaving the market, I suppose Toyota could see similar numbers unless price is too high.
While GT86 sales had been higher, they've actually been right around 7k/yr the last two years. |

Ugh... Toyota sucks! I thought the fact that MK IV and MK III Supras which have manuals sell for THOUSANDS more would make a manual Supra a sure thing. Stupid silly me I guess. My return to Toyota is stalled again.
Just call me a disgruntled former owner of 5 MK III Supras, 2 MK II MR2 Turbos, and 1 MK II Celica All Trac Turbo (I still have an ultra low mileage MK III Supra though). |

I just find it funny that Tada-san seems to care so much about the aftermarket tuning culture that surrounds the Supra based on his dialogue in the interviews, and also seems completely aware of the following the Supra has yet there’s no manual on offer, and it’ll be using an engine that’s in literally every other bmw....
Car looks good, though. Inb4 manual is offered only on the 4 cylinder. |

Some of the reviews did say some of the interior parts are not finalized yet and that were some items that were being used as a place holder. I'm assuming the shifter and iDrive dial? Another article said the shared parts are going to be buttons and door handles. So yes, there will probably be some part sharing, but at least it looks a little different vs the straight up rebadge 86/BRZ and Miata/124.

I immediately noticed the same. Circus colors don't do any favors for the clown lines of this car. Lighter colors do help to mitigate all the bloating.
