missing screw
Anyone know where I can find a T20 screw for an E85 roadster top?
I was out for a drive when the top started squeaking whenever i drove over rough surfaces. It was only squeaking when the top was down, so I figured something was loose in the area where the top attaches to the windshield. When I got home, I pulled the top up to an intermediate position to have a look. I noticed that I was missing a screw, and the remaining screws were loose. I tightened the screws that were still there, but it is unlikely that I will ever recover the missing screw. I drove it after tightening the remaining screws, but it still squeaks. Hopefully, replacing the missing screw will hold things together tighter and prevent the parts from squeaking. Thanks in advance. Best Regards, Simon |

I was able to find the right size screw at Lowe’s, took it for a spin and it seems to have fixed the squeaking

Watch out. That's your first sign of bad things to eventually come.
Mine kept backing out, then the plastic cracked near the screws. Then the plastic cracked near the unlock access door. Then the plastic cracked in a couple of other places. Sun/heat decay. Part is not available anywhere at any price. Do whatever you can to preserve it for as long as you can.
