I don't know what you mean by "you get the other designs as well"... Looks like only the very ugly turbine wheels in that posting. Those wheels look like the plastic hub caps they used to install on a cheap Chrysler econobox...

Anyway, I didn't realize they made REAL winter tires in that size. The photos indicate that those are Bridgestone Blizzak LN-32 tires in the 215/45-R20 size. Blizzaks are really good winter tires! One of the best! I didn't realize they came in that size.

I still wouldn't get 20" snow tires to put on my factory rims though. As long as I have to get a second set of winter rims, I would still pick 19's as they are there is a much larger variety of winter tires available in that size. However if you're one of the guys looking for a winter tire in the proper fitment for the factory 20's - that appears to be it!

I suppose if your just getting that specific offer as a secondary set of winter wheels/tires, appearance might not be that important. I guess it depends on how long your winter is... ;-)

Those wheels still look ridiculous...

I would love to know if 18inch wheels fit the i8
I have my F80 M3 standard break with 18inch ZE40s and runs good.
M3 seems have bigger calipets
Really want some high profile winter shoes
Thanks

Winter prep

I have to say first off that I am not a fair weather driver so I’m out all year, in all weather. Just thinking about Winter I tried to buy rubber mats from the BMW agent but strangely they don’t seem sell them?

Did a quick search and found some 3mm rubber mats tailor-made for the front footwells on eBay for only £21:99. There are loads more, but these are the only ones that fitted the foot wells. They look a little industrial with the checker plate pattern but for that money I was impressed that both they fitted and that the edges are finished off with binding.

No more soggy carpets for me this Winter!

Tirerack lists 19 inch winter tire/wheel combo's for the i8. 19 inch wheels are not low profile. 20's are low profile...

Weathertech has some very nice winter liners for the i8. They will hold melted snow/ice/water better than a generic flat liner:

Look very good and I know I live in the UK but it doesn’t rain that much! Happy with what I bought, just enough to keep the carpets spick and span!
