Corrosion

Just cleaned the car and noticed that at the rear of the car, under the rear bumper there is some paint that has come off. Looks like a panel that has oxidised and the surface paint is just flaking off. Is this normal? Do I have a claim under body corrosion?

It is visible at the rear of the car so I need to do something with it...

Should be easy for BMW to just replace the snall panel by the look of it.

I guess show them it and see if covered. As you say, maybe under the corrosion warranty. Cant say mine is like that but will look.

For US Warranty purposes, corrosion is only covered if there is perforation. Surface oxidation is not covered. since it does not perforate the metal.
