Video iPOD question ?

Well, i'm going to head out today to replace my tried and true 10gig ipod with a new 30gig ipod video. Does anyone with their ear to the ground have any news on apple's new products ? Ie. Is apple going to replace the ipod video again in another 6 months ? They seem to be moving a little too fast with the updates !

Even if they do, its no big deal I guess, since its the 30gigs of space that really interests me, not the videos, etc...

Does anyone own the video, if so, how do you like it ? I tried one out in the store a few weeks ago and it was really nice, but it seemed to be a bit slower with the menus and all then my non-color old ipod. ?

I got a 60 GB black one. (matches my interior) I think it actually sounds better than my old 3G. I got it because I got tired of only driving around with 18 GB of music, and my old battery wouldn't hold a charge.

On the new one, the battery time is outstanding. But you are right- the menus are slower. But it is the Display which has a hard time catching up to the music.

So would u say in real world usage, the slower menus arent anything to worry about because the music is still instant ?

I'm thinking of buying an iPod soonish. Any pros/cons of the video as opposed to getting, say, a nano (apart from storage *******?

I bought a 4GB nano for my girlfriend and she loves it. Too small for me though. I like to have all of my music with me.
