Remote hidden features?

So I just discovered if you hold down the unlock button on the remote key (not the display key), the windows roll down.

Are there any other "tricks"?

Hold down the lock button and the mirrors fold in 👍

That's odd. Tried this and it didn't work.

Things I'd like:
  • Turn on engine
  • For the extra flex: button that pops open both doors haha

I like this feature if someone parks too close and you can't get the doors open. I'd be getting in through the window, Dukes of Hazzard style.

1. Get in, close the doors - do not buckle the seat belt.
2. With the brake pedal depressed, actuate the "Start/stop" button
3. Pull the right parking brake button next to the selector lever upwards.
4. With the "Unlocking command" button pressed, move the selector lever
button to the left of the selector lever from the "P" position via "D" to the left to "Sport". The combustion engine starts by itself and runs in idle position.
5. Remove the foot from the brake, open the driver's door, the selector lever
automatically jumps to "P".
To stop the engine, press the "Start/Stop" button again.

Lock the car and within 10 seconds press the close button a second time. Partially turns of alarm if car needs to be moved. Turns on again after opening the car.

Won't the windows (if open) roll up also? What year is your i8?

My E46 and roll up (lock) and roll down (unlock) window feature back in 2001. My F80 also has this so I'd figure it was a standard feature in all BMWs by now.

Doesn't this just disable the motion sensor inside the vehicle?

yep, you can open or close the windows this way too, but you can also do this through a separate command on the display key or the app, so not really hidden at all.

Do all the BMW i8's come with the remote start from the key?

It disables the movement/tilt detection for cars parked on elevators like mine. Important feature so my wife doesn't get a heart attack using the elevator.
