381 now. Every day the count keeps going up. 3 Years ago when there were amazing deals, when did BMWFS lower their MF and increase residuals? Is that trend also repeating itself right now?

It wasn't until the spring time aka the 2016 models started rolling out.

No one reached back out to me today, but I'm sure a decent not great deal can be had...if they know what's good for them.

If history repeats itself and the count reaches 400+ and we're into February- that's when anyone would get a steal these.

Only difference is that the buzz on the i8 has long worn off. Back then- it was still relatively intriguing to those who aren't a fan a fan of the car.

So far- every dealership thinks I'm crazy for asking 1100 a month with minimum drive off.

We'll see in a month or two.

Hopefully you find something; I will follow in summer, up to $1,300/month is my target

The guys who do whole sale - I guess auto brokers if you will-
Can get you 1400 a month on a coupe with zero down right now. I'd say if you can get into one in the spring, you'll definitely get it for what your max # amount is at.

Are we talking coupes only at zero down at signing or typical drive off (1st month’s payment and registration) and zero cap cost reduction?

I'm only talking coupes, and zero down.

Never been a fan of convertibles let alone a soft top.

Not sure what the residuals are butwill find out. I'm in somewhat of serious talks with a rational dealer, so will share numbers tomorrow once given.

However- there are officially 418 - that's 100 more than there were a month ago when I started this thread.

36/10k would be 55% residual on both 19 coupe and roadster

been refreshing the i8 count and it seems to have stabilized. No more new ones being produced. Maybe it's time for 2019's now

The LCI cars that have been produced from February 2018 on are considered model year 2019 cars in the U.S., so I don't there will be any changes with the actual start of 2019.

Yeah they'll simply be rebranded as MY2020 and I believe this will be the last of them before either production completes haults or a new model comes out (since bmw usually works on 6 year cycles)

The dealerships are honestly not budging and I have no idea why they think they'll be able to move this many.

I'm getting a really good offer on a mclaren 570 and I'm considering just moving on up- and ditching bmw until the m8 is released.

Best of luck to you all with your search.

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of numbers are you getting on the 570?

Thanks

Aggressive deal. Very well negotiated. My only concern is that Ally is horrendous when returning a lease, especially a high dollar car.

Coupe or convertible?

So that's $10 a mile!! I think you'll get a MUCH better deal than that on any i8.

It's a completely different level of car not intended to be looked on as such hence why I said "move up to"- in my case, it wouldn't be daily driver at this point.

Comparing the i8 to the 570 is an unfair comparison because one is worth much more than the other.

One is much more expensive than the other for certain, the difference between the cars in reality is relatively small and therefore the comparison of 'worth' is subjective. But if you're happy to spend $100k on it for not more than 10,000 miles of use, then hand it back then that's you're prerogative! That simply wouldn't pass the worth it test for me.
