LED matrix headlights
So I allso own a F11 late 2013 535xd. It has led headlights like the i8 (dont have lasers).
In my i8 with the automatic headligts on, it will switch to full/high beam when appropiate and switch down again. As it should. But my F11 does it one better. It puts a Black spot where the oncoming car is and thus keeps the high/full beam on most of the time. the i8 does not apparently know this trick. mine is a 2014model. Is that just how they are? or is mine broken/ feature not activated? improoved headlights in 15+ version? Suggestions well come, knowledge greatly appreciated |

My M4 does it as well.
Its called "Anti-Dazzle" headlights, is only available with LED headlamps, and is not coded to be available in the USA (not sure about Denmark). It can be coded into US cars which would otherwise have that capability if sold in Europe (you don't have to ask me how I know). It doesn't really put "a black spot" anywhere. It actually just aims the headlamps away to avoid oncoming traffic or cars going the same way in front of you. The result is a dark area where the headlamps aren't being aimed. I have a 2016 Roadster (US Spec) with Laserlights and I don't think this capability is available (coded or otherwise)...

Well to me it looks like actually several black spots are possible simultaneously.
Question is if its possible to have on the i8 headlights. Anyone have this in their 15+ i8 ? |

Well we in America are still using candles for headlights and are not allowed to have matrix LEDs. And our "lasers" are neutered. So not only is my post useless to you its basically just whining, so ignore it...

While you can code in the anti-dazzle feature on US cars, the i8 laserlights are not capable of doing this.
And you can't code in an increase in power on the US laserlights. (They are different headlight assemblies.)
