Do you notice your render shows black switches, not glass?

I wouldn’t trust the render one bit.

Yeah. You are probably correct. The renders are extremely buggy for the 2025 iX in the MyBMW app. I’ve been meaning to show you guys how badly they are rendering the seats. Look how screwed up they have been. It’s been over a month and still not fixed.

Actually the memory seat buttons on the doors are now dark silver on M60 with the luxury package and on 50 with the luxury and interior design package - see this post. That’s one of the reasons (absence of the wood trim is another) that the luxury package drops from $1,150 to $900 in the US when adding the interior design package to iX 50 and is fixed at $900 on M60.

Correct. I’m just pointing out the black appearance of the glass controls for the seat adjuster and gear selector. Those should be crystal like idrive knob.

There is now a caveat on the BMW configurator with the interior design package on the base model:

"When the Interior Design Package is selected in combination with the Luxury Package, the wood panel of the center console is not included."

The M60 luxury package description still needs work as it mentions wood in the main package description (and shows wood in the visual), but the sub-description shows "glass controls" instead of glass and wood controls.

Beginning of March. My MY24 build date was March 1st 2023, and it is listed as a 2024 model.

My 2025 iX50 arrived today. You were correct. The render in the MyBMW app was incorrect:

1. Black appearing seat controls are indeed crystal

2. Wood trim console is indeed piano black.

I got my 2025 iX xDrive50 last week (with the luxury package) and it does have the wood trim + crystal knobs/buttons (including the memory setting button).

A strange thing that I noticed just now is that there's no mention of wood trim anywhere. The luxury package only lists these two options -

On the 50, luxury pack and no interior design pack means you get the hex wheel, bronze trim and full glass controls/ wood panel in the console.

The interior design pack incl the round steering wheel, dark plastic ilo bronze trim and some glass, and no wood.

Interestingly, in the UK for 2025 the hexagonal wheel/bronze trim has been eliminated for the iX 50 and M60. It’s only available on the lowest tier iX 40 model. They really want to standardize on the M-Sport trim now!!

In my opinion, a downgrade. The hex wheel fits the iX motif better than a generic round wheel.

Yep, I tend to agree. That new round wheel is actually the same one in M Sport trims of the iX1 and feels a bit plasticky in parts. The hex wheel fits the overall aesthetic of the iX much better in my opinion.
