When safe to drive hard in sport?
First post guys as only had the car a few weeks!
Firstly, shame it's had to go back in under warranty as i get no heat from the heater unless theengine is on which takes a while and therfore the pre-condition function does not work! They said the fault in the ECU is to change the Auxiliary electric heater. Not sure how much they are but it's neary a thousand quid in total! Seems a lot condidering it seems accessable under the bonnet. Thankfully it's covered anyway so fingers crossed it get fixed soon. Otherwise, loving it! My question is, when is it safe to drive reasonably hard in sport mode? Most of the time, the engine won't be on and so in effect it's cold still including the turbo? My previous sport cars, i've always warmed up first but with this, it seems as though you are not sure when the engine etc is warm enough not to do any damage? No lights or temp gauge? |

Is the maintain charge just a setting within the I drive? I assume there'd isn't just a button to just have the engine on like the opposite to elec only is there?
Would have been good to have some sort of temp gauge or an indication eh |

Just set one of the 8 quick select switches to it. That's what I've done. Plus another for tyre pressures, and one for a "drivetrain" visual.
Agree there should be oil and water temp gauges. |

Cheers Chris, I just had those set for radio stations!
I've been through the I drive menus but still can't see where the 'maintain battery one is though'? Will have another look tomorrow. |
