i8 Coupe Replaced with...?

Hi all,

Genuine question, what is the model that is to replace the i8? Am I missing something or is there nothing coming through?

iNext looks be an X5 size SUV
i4 is 4 series GC size
i5 5 series etc

Where is the i2+2 top tier coupe? Is the M Next a real car and i8 type Powertrain ?

At least from seeing the car live in the BMW World in Munich I can say it's less ugly than the pictures (M Next) as a full scale model.

Agreed I think it looks fantastic but the concept car Orange might not be for everyone. Last I heard though this project was cancelled

which leaves absolutely no natural successor to the i8 ???
